...or maybe a funny gesture!

I noticed she blew by Guitar Lake. I wonder if it's tempting to go for the Portal. Sometimes at the end of a trip, I'm waxing nostalgic and drag my feet a little on the way out...sometimes I'm just want to get back to my soft, warm bed and a nice hot shower. She'll let us know soon.

Maybe she's got "health food" stashed at the portal (a la our last outing to Aspen Grove) and doesn't care about the Portal Store. I kind of like the vibe at the Portal Store, but who knows. Maybe she needs to work some demonic cougar scratches out of her legs.

Ellen has been very consistent and is right on schedule to finish up tomorrow with what may be her highest-mileage day (by a bit). The answer to "are we almost there" on the JMT is almost always "no," But she is close to changing that. 8)

What a journey that must have been Ellen, looking forward to hearing all about it, the next time I see you on the trail, maybe over a cold beer!
