Crazy isn't it? Back in 2006 this was a slow board with 50 to 100 members and 10 or 20 active members.

But seriously, congratulations Perry, you've done a great job with this board.

Funny! Most of the general public has little interest in the outdoors. This could be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

I'll probably get flamed for suggesting it, but personally I wouldn't be turned off by a small amount of low-key advertising targeted to the audience of the board. Summitpost provides a pretty good model. The ads on that site don't bother me at all. I dislike the San G board though, the ads are more prominent and the presentation of the threads totally sucks.

I've thought about it, just because I could really use the money. Thoughts?

Don't sweat it, Perry. The San Gabriels board has ads and they have never bothered me. You provide a great service and a few ads would be a small price to pay.

I'd be OK with it, particularly if they were a bit more subtle than the San Gabriel's board's ads.
